The QDI Winnex1 motherboard is a 370 socket designed for the new PPGA Intel Celeron processors familly. Based on the Intel 810 chipset and built-in AGP video and sound cards, the QDI Winnex1 also handle the new ATA/66 hard disk drives. The i810 AGPset based motherboards were created to reduce computer building costs. The Winnex1 has a lot of interesting functions that makes it different from competitive motherboards. For example, this motherboard possesses "Jumperless configuration named "CPU Speedeasy setup" developed by QDI. Let's see together the true nature of this motherboard trough the analysis I made for you.
Features
As mentioned in the introduction, the QDI Winnex1 has an integrated AC'97 compliant soundcard as well as an Intel 2D/3D graphic card driven by a 230Mhz RAMDAC with 4Mb of video memory. Another interesting feature of the QDI Winnex1 is a jumper that write-protects the BIOS at boot-up ensuring that your BIOS wont be erased or corrupted by viruses such as the CIH.
The extension slots of this Winnex1 are: 3 PCI slots, one AMR (audio/modem riser interface) conector, two 168 pins DIMM sockets to supports up to 512Mb of memory and one gameport.
The clock frequency may be selected within a range extending from 66Mhz to 133Mhz including: 66Mhz, 75Mhz, 83Mhz, 100Mhz and 133Mhz Kind of restrictive but still good, this is obviously not a motherboard for the Overclocking maniacs...
The multipliers are going from 2X up to 8X in 0.5X steps. Notice that there are no possibilities to adjust the processor core voltage on this motherboard neither than any Turbo function to push the processor a little over its limits.
The additional features supported are: Wake On lan, Wake On keyboard, modem ring power on, USB connectors, PS2 connectors for mouse and keyboard, Irda RX/TX header, "suspend to RAM", power failure recovery, fan speed, CPU and environmental hardware monitoring.

Installation
The Winnex1 installation needs only JFS and JFS1 to determine the main bus frequency. Then, once you have decided at which frequency your system is going to work (66, 100 or 133 Mhz), the rest of the processor configuration will be accomplished into the "CPU SpeedEasy setup" menu within the BIOS.
Bundled software.
Programs included are: CD version of the users manual, Intel IDE bus Master drivers, Intel 810 drivers, video and sound drivers and QDI ACPI drivers.
