The Features (Continued)

Additional features found with the TS-AVD1, include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS/2 connectors for mice and keyboards, USB connectors, RX/TX infrared connectors, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or from a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed and of CPU temperature is also provided with this PC99 compatible motherboard.

Below, a photo of the Transcend TS-AVD1 provides a good view of its layout.

Installation

As previously mentioned, it is not necessary to set a clock multiplier (assuming you're not using an Intel processor, pre-dating the PIII) as this value is effectively ignored by the processor. So then, with the system also being able to determine for itself the frequency of the system bus - according to the processor detected, their remains only the option of modifying the BIOS settings in order to Overclock the bus. If you have no interest in doing so, place the card in its casing, connect all the wires, and you're ready to roll...

The software pack

The installation CD contains only the 4-in-1 VIA Apollo Pro133 drivers, the Hardware Doctor utility for monitoring the hardware, a CD version of the manual, and Adobe Acrobat Reader for reading PDF files...
