The features (continued)

Additional features found with the DFI PW65-E, include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS/2 connectors, USB connectors, RX/TX connectors for infrared, Suspend to RAM, and start-up from the keyboard/mouse/pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and voltages are also included as standard features. Note that this board meets all the requirements of the PC99 standard.

Installation

As with most boards of this type, installation was quite simple. There is no real need to set jumpers JP9, and JP10, as the default position will work with nearly every available processor. There only remains to check the options in the BIOS in order to optimize performance, as desired.



The software pack

The installation CD, includes: the i810 .INF update utility, graphics drivers, audio drivers, Yamaha applications for the sound card, Hardware Doctor for hardware monitoring, and a CD version of the user's manual.
