Additional features of the Gigabyte GA-7ZXR motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors, 4 USB ports located on the back panel, an integrated AC"97 sound-card supported by a CT5880 chip, Power Failure Recovery, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

Installation
Installation of the GA-7ZXR is pretty simple. One thing to remember is that the RAID ATA100 controller can't be configured until an operating system has been installed; until then, stick with the ATA66 controller. Asides from that, everything is well with the world: simply put the board in a case, plug it in, and boot-up.
The software bundle
The installation CD includes the VIA 4-in-1 service-pack v4.23, drivers for the Promise ATA100 controller, drivers for the CT8550 sound-card, a utility for monitoring the hardware, a program capable of flashing the BIOS, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital version of the user's manual, Norton AntiVirus 2000SE, DirectX 7.0a, and several other utilities.
The hardware bundle
The GA-7ZXR's comes bundled with a few other bits of hardware, namely two 80-pin ATA66/100 cables, and a floppy drive connector.
