Additional features
Additional featurtes of the Asus CUSl2-C motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake On Modem Ring, PS2 ports, 4 USB ports (two of which are located on the back panel), an optional integrated AC'97 sound-card, Power Lost Recovery, Suspend To Ram, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speeds, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard. Finally, the CUSl2-C also comes with an extra thermal sensor connector.

Installation
Installation of the CUSL2-C first requires that you decide whether you wish to proceed with a Jumperfree installation, or else have access to the jumpers and Dips on the motherboard itself. In our opinion though, there is little reason for most users to opt out of a Jumperfree installation. So, with that in mind, one need first make certain that JEN is set to 2-3, and the SW1 array is Off. Then, simply place the board in a case, plug everything in, boot-up, and jump into the BIOS to make any adjustments.
The software bundle
The installation CD includes the Intel v2.30.021 patches, a utility for monitoring the hardware, a program for flashing the BIOS, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital version of the user's manual, LCDM 6.0, PC Cillin V4.06, Asus PC Probe, DirectX 7.0, and several audio & video applications from Cyberlink.
The hardware bundle
The CUSL2-C also comes with: one 80-pin ATA66/100 cable, one 40-pin ATA33 cable, a floppy drive cable, a serial port connector, and a cable for installing two additional USB ports on the rear panel.
