Additional features

Additional features of the Abit BD7 RAID motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, 4 USB ports - two of which are located on the back panel, an integrated AC"97 sound-card, Power Lost Recovery, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, or keyboard. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

And, lest we forget, the BD7 RAID also includes a LED diagnostic panel, and integrated RAID and Ethernet controllers.

Installation

Installation of the BD7 RAID isn't very complicated, and it should suffice most users to consult the user's manual to insure that the interrupts of Dip-array S1 are set as desired.



The software bundle

The installation CD includes the Intel 3.20.1011 patches for the chipset, drivers for the RAID controller, drivers for the LAN controller, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital rendition of the user's manual, Intel Application Accelerator, Award Flash for flashing the BIOS, WinDVD, Buzzsoft Free Software, 3Deep Color, Norton Antivirus 2002, and the Hardware Doctor hardware monitoring utility.



The hardware bundle

The BD7 RAID comes with: two 80-pin ATA100 cables, one floppy-drive cable, a game port, and a connector-cache for the back panel.
