Technical details
The standard amount of space has been provided around the CPU socket in order to fit a P4 heatsink.
The memory slots are located far enough from the AGP port that there is little chance of a retention bar coming into contact with the graphics card when installing memory.
The voltage regulation circuits are of the triple phase, simple-Mosfets variety.
Seven 2200Mfds, and six 1500Mfds capacitors have been installed.
The Northbridge is capped with a heatsink, but no fan.
The ATX, and 12v connectors are located between the CPU socket and the communications ports, which will force users to curl the power cables around the CPU.
Two fan connectors are included, both of which are controlled by the hardware monitoring system.
Hardware monitoring is controlled by a Winbond W83627HF circuit.
It's not possible to manually assign IRQs.
The AGP port does not support AGP Pro graphics cards.
An alphanumeric 4-LED diagnostic panel is present.
The 845 Pro supports PC Alert, PC-2-PC networking, and Live BIOS technologies.
And finally, the BIOS can be rolled-back to the last batch of valid settings by pressing "CTRL + Insert" at start-up.
